Cameron Diaz was recently on the cover of VOGUE magazine, labeled the “Queen of Green.” She is a quiet sort of environmentalist, not wishing to impose her views on others around her. About her energy-efficient Prius, she says, “It’s just a car.”
But she makes environmentally conscious shopping choices with little fanfare. As a role model with the power to influence young and old, Cameron Diaz sets a great example for others to follow. In VOGUE’s June 09 issue, she is photographed wearing a number of eco-chic clothing and accessories.

Here is Diaz looking gorgeous in a 3.1 Philip Lim eco-dyed 100 percent natural silk dress and an Eco Emporia belt made from a reclaimed fire hose.

On the left, Diaz wears a Rag & Bone 100 percent organic-cotton cardigan and a Tibi one-shoulder bathing suit. On the right, she shows off her Hessnatur silk and cotton tank and her Del Forte Denim Jeans made from certified-organic-cotton-and-spandex.
One of the most admirable environmental actions Diaz has taken was her recent MTV series, Trippin’, in which she explored environmental concerns in different ways, including taking rapper DMX camping in Yellowstone or exploring Nepal with Eva Mendes.
A New York Times critic applauded Cameron for her ability to “speak authoritatively about siltation and dynamite fishing and overpopulation, all in her surfer-girl vernacular.” This ability can help the average person understand the degradation of the environment without the statistics and technical jargon that leave many confused and overwhelmed as they ask what they personally can do for the planet.
While Diaz could be a louder advocate for the environment, she should still be recognized for continually making choices in her everyday life that help preserve the environment. She is a quiet supporter, who sets a great example. We cannot all be environmental activists but “We all add up”. And if everyone does their part in their own life, the world will be a healthier place.
Thank you, Cameron Diaz.

Since Cameron Diaz seems to be the true “Queen of Green” this month in Vogue, she should check out INDIE PEACE, the more green fashion line around. It just launched in 8 different Nordstrom stores out west about two weeks ago. They are sold in the stores now, but are available online as well if you can’t make it to the store. Check it out at indiepeace.com I promise that you, nor Cameron would be disappointed.

Is Cameron Diaz going out with A-Rod? They’re two single, consenting adults and they are allowed to do anything they want to do. At least they are not married and playing about on their spouses.
